My Review: City of Fallen Angels

City of Fallen AngelsCity of Fallen Angels
by Cassandra Clare

From Goodreads

City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever.

Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels

I really enjoyed the first 3 books in this series but for some reason I did not care for this book as much as the other ones. I found I could put this book down easily and it took me awhile to read it. Sure there were some intense parts to the book but I really did think there was just too much crying over love relationships.

Just Nook It!  Theresa

  1. I've found that almost all series start to falter at some point. It's a remarkable feat when an author can keep the momentum and beauty consistent throughout all their books. Hopefully things get back to the quality of the first books in the next one! Thanks for the post. :)

  3. I've read the first three, but I've been reluctant to pick this one up. I think because it's been so long I am afraid I'll have to go back and reread the others to refresh it in my mind. And I liked the first three, but not enough to want to read them all over again. Sigh...reading decisions are the worst.
